Childrens Portacabin Fund Raising

New Portacabin for Young Disciples
 
For more children to come, the Kidzone leaders prayed.
They have arrived and stayed.
We need more space to teach and pray.
Fundraising for an additional portacabin is underway !
 
So far we have had generous donations and with other events raised £6,500. So we need to raise the remainder over the next six months.. We are therefore embarking on a series of fundraising events:
1. Table Sale - in Sept 2006 we raised somewhere in the region of £700-800 (from memory). Another Table Sale was held on Sat 18th October 2008 which raised £450.

2. Disco Nite - One or mores discos will be organised on a Friday or Saturday evening in the church and then we can invite people along, bring own drinks, and have a good disco.  The idea will be donation to raise approx £500.

3. Family Barn Dance - Yes it was a real swinging time at 7:30 Sat 28th February 2009. Everyone from amateurs to those with a little experience danced the night away to the sound of Laurel Swift and "8 Bars Short" band. 4. Murder Mystery Evening - All dastardly deeds detected -a fun night for everyone.
 
5. Quiz Night - The usual scramble for points succcessfully won by Table 12.
 
6. Sponsored Walk - The sponsored walk on Sat 9th May went very well and raised considerable money.
 
7. A 60's Evening - more details to come about our fun night one Saturday evening. There'll be a good band, good food and your good-selves.
