Child Protection
The Church Of England have a very active child protection programme. This parish is no exception and we subscribe to the Churches' Child Protection Advisory Service  www.ccpas.co.uk/ . This is an independent charity providing professional advice, training and resources to safeguard children in all aspects life where they come into contact with organised groups.

The parish of St Johns with St James has a full time children's worker, Dave Arrowsmith, who has many years' experience of running children's groups and ensuring the safety and security of all members.

It also contains a Good Practice Guide which is full of good advice to help steer new leaders in the right direction. Also available to download is a very useful small quick reference card produced by CCPAS which leaders should have available.
